July 2025

2025 July 31

Mira here!

Well, even though July is July month she is unavailable to do this at the moment, so the job falls to me. Last year, we got laid off during July, ruining the month entirely. This year, we had our condition of ulcerative colitis flaring up, so we still spent a bit of the month in a miserable state. The meds we got need to be slowly titrated down, so we won't be totally free of the situation right away, but we have a diagnosis and a doctor and overall we'll take it over the job thing. Since it's steroids, we're hungry and high energy and flushed in the evenings, so we might have been more energetic while streaming. Who can say?

On that note! The most exciting development of the month was the formation of Critter Time and the Critter Time forums! We weren't involved with the creation or maintenance of the forums, other than that we did get to register an account a little bit before it was put out into the public to help test things out, and we're on the Twitch team, but the admins are our friends and the idea was born out of a big talk about what we miss from an older era of the internet before everything was a Discord channel. Of course, this very website and blog was born out of a lot of the same desires and impulses, so we're highly active on the forums and want to continue being as such. It's a lot of fun! You can have things that are more permanent there. You can have conversations, where there's a context instead of just whatever crap being broadcast wherever. We're not going off of bsky or anything at the moment, we just like the forum and the initial rush of members went far beyond anyone's expectations. It's a very furry place, but not exclusively so if one wants to talk about tech stuff, old games, or other more general topics.

Streaming is fun, and we're feeling a good rhythm. It's not totally clear how to expand things from here, but we're also not sure how much we want to? It's an ongoing process, anyway.

Art

We hit up an old standby Sorbet this month and got a me, since we have... relativley few non-lewd pics of me and we wanted some art to put up in a VR homeworld if we buy a prefab one to furnish for fun. Sorbet just draws big bodies incredibly! I feel a real sense of what I'd call Gender from it, not just feminine but fully me. The reality and the shape of the body here. It's very good and fulfilling. One of the best in the biz.

Another from Roxie that just blew us away. We joined Qwarq's discord to participate in anime watch party nights because they were starting with Dirty Pair. We'd never seen it, but you can see the result of just a few episodes. The fashion is just unmatched in that show, and Trinket wanted to be Kei. July was the most sensible one to pair it with as Yuri!
