New Year, New Site

Life is very different now compared to when we set up our site. The original idea was to make something silly and ugly, and we weren't really sure how to make anything else play nicely with Neocities. We don't really regret those decisions. That was a nice way to start off, but since we started, social media has gotten way shittier, we've become more active and social, and our whole ass identity has changed. Migrating this site into something better became an appealing little project, and we don't exactly have to make the site super complicated. Also, this was an opportunity to make some nice upgrades, like an RSS feed. And change the URL to fit us. There were a lot of reasons to do it!

We actually do web development for a job, so we do actually know how to make them, but this is using some new technologies for us. Specifically, Eleventy. It was recommended by streamer dot_lvl who also uses it. Furthermore, we referenced a wonderful tutorial by renkotsuban for getting started. We hope to enjoy cataloguing and tagging and organizing all our old stuff and maybe even using this thing more.

Some plans for the future: a more frank discussion of more adult topics (we've moved the site into the 18+ section of Neocities at some point but this won't be a porno site really) and some monthly summaries of stuff we've written and done elsewhere.

On a personal note, you might have noticed us using plural first-person pronouns exclusively here. This is very much a deliberate choice and has required us to go back and fix a bunch of them. We will see if we can keep it up, but this hopefully gives us a better way of distinguishing when one of us is speaking more individually.
